The Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management combines insights from the engineering sciences with insights from the humanities and the social sciences.
Societal issues are becoming more and more complex, containing as they do a combination of technological, organisational and societal components.
Examples of these can be found everywhere: road congestion, quality of electronic services, sustainability of industrial processes and the country’s spatial development. Issues of this kind involve various parties, often with conflicting interests and ideas. A purely technological approach to such problems, therefore, does not usually produce the desired results.
