Hi, my name is Raphael and I am the Faculty's official student ambassador for the Maastricht University's master's programme in Biomedical Sciences.

I am from Austria and I chose to come to Maastricht for the master’s programme in Biomedical Sciences. I studied Molecular Biotechnology in Vienna and during the last year of my bachelor’s I did a six-month internship here in Maastricht at the university hospital, researching cancer biomarkers. It was a great experience.

As a next step I hope to obtain a PhD position and pursue a career in academia, even though that’s a very competitive route.
