Geschiedenis

Founded in 1952, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is one of the oldest and most international business schools in the Netherlands. MSM offers research-driven and internationally accredited programs in management, amongst others MBA, Executive MBA, Online MBA, Master and Doctorate degrees programs. Its research-based Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program is ranked number two in the world.
Additionally MSM offers many shorter professional and executive courses, as well as tailor-made programs in a broad range of expertise areas specifically designed to help organizations successfully deal with today’s global market challenges.

MSM is located in the beautiful historical city of Maastricht in the Netherlands - right in the heart of Europe.

MSM offers its programs in Maastricht and across the world through collaboration with various partner institutions. Around 1,000 students graduate every year from MSM’s programs, and MSM alumni occupy top positions in business, government and academia. If you want to sharpen your business knowledge and grow your network internationally, then this is the right school.Best of all, you can complete your 2 years of MBA within 1 year . You not only save money but time as well. Highly recommended for business professionals who are willing to learn and grow their network in EU & globally. Vertaald door Google Als je je zakelijke kennis wilt aanscherpen en je netwerk internationaal wilt laten groeien, dan is dit de juiste school. Het beste van alles is dat je je 2-jarige MBA binnen 1 jaar kunt afronden. U bespaart niet alleen geld, maar ook tijd. Sterk aanbevolen voor zakelijke professionals die bereid zijn om te leren en hun netwerk in de EU en wereldwijd te laten groeien.
Albeit I have met a handful of good lecturers there, the overall experience was very disappointing. My view is that the MSM is more like an "for-profit" enterprise that is perfectly designed to extract as much money from students as possible than an academic institution. The curriculum was shallow focusing on breadth rather than depth. The lectureship was of extremely low quality. Speaking of my personal experience, I can claim that the odour of "racism" can be easily smelled at their employees' offices and their accommodation's reception the disgraced "Apart Hotel Randwyck". There were many activities only to keep students busy and give them the feeling that they are doing something in their life. Still, there were some interactive and dynamic workshops that I enjoyed there. If I to evaluate the knowledge that I acquired in the School on a 1 to 10 scale, I can fairly say 2 at best. My suggestions to the School are to change their hollow curricula, hire strong academic lecturers, enforce anti-racism internal policies, listen to students' feedback, and try to be more of a "school" than a "company". Mijn mening is dat de MSM meer lijkt op een "for-profit" onderneming die perfect is ontworpen om zoveel mogelijk geld van studenten te krijgen dan een academische instelling. Het curriculum was oppervlakkig gericht op breedte in plaats van diepte. Het lectoraat was van zeer lage kwaliteit. Over mijn persoonlijke ervaring gesproken, ik kan beweren dat de geur van "racisme" gemakkelijk kan worden geroken in de kantoren van hun werknemers en de receptie van hun accommodatie het in ongenade gevallen "Apart Hotel Randwyck". Er waren veel activiteiten alleen om de studenten bezig te houden en het gevoel te geven dat ze iets in hun leven doen. Toch waren er enkele interactieve en dynamische workshops die ik daar leuk vond. Als ik de kennis die ik in de school heb opgedaan moet evalueren op een schaal van 1 tot 10, kan ik op zijn best redelijk zeggen 2. Mijn suggesties aan de school zijn om hun holle curricula te veranderen, sterke academische docenten in dienst te nemen, intern antiracismebeleid af te dwingen, naar de feedback van studenten te luisteren en te proberen meer een "school" dan een "bedrijf" te zijn.
If you need a degree, then MSM is the right place. They are selling degrees for the sake of Accreditation. If you really want to learn and implement new ideas, then MSM is very far from appreciating it. Definitely not recommended for those who wants to learn the subjects. Als je echt nieuwe ideeën wilt leren en implementeren, dan waardeert MSM het verre van. Absoluut geen aanrader voor wie de vakken wil leren.

The MSM is the only reason that attracts me to visit this beautiful city. This is the 11th year from my graduation from MSM in Shanghai.
