Geschiedenis

The summer school of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam offers interactive small-scale courses (max. 25 students). The courses are designed to provide an intensive, in-depth look at your topic of study. You will participate in engaging discussions with a unique group of peers, from all parts of the world.

All courses include built-in excursions to museums and institutes such as the Anne Frank House and the International Criminal Court. This extends the learning beyond the classroom and enhances the courses' practical applicability. Personal guidance by your instructors, all excellent professors at VU Amsterdam, and a stimulating cultural environment provide a meaningful and lasting experience.

"VU Amsterdam Summer School offers interactive small-scale courses at Bachelor's and Master's level. Our one and two-week courses cover multiple themes and are offered by all nine faculties of the university. Bachelor's, Master's and PhD students as well as professionals are all welcome to apply. From start to finish, we will be here to support you. In addition to the courses, we offer exciting social activities and accommodation."

Eindelijk master afgerond
First time on Netherlands! Amsterdam has such a nice weather when i came, sunny days with a few wind to let me to cool off a bit. Participating in Summer School Program in VU gave me an amazing experience learning in a lovely city and in a beautiful and excellent-facilitation campus, such as excellent access, excellent building, especially a very nice canteen and garden. They gave us an organized, ease program but with a lot of experience starting from learning from the real thing, exciting social programs, and fun social events among the Summer School Program Participants! I would recommend this program to as many people as i can, thank you VU! Vertaald door Google Eerste keer in Nederland! Amsterdam had zo'n mooi weer toen ik kwam, zonnige dagen met een beetje wind om me wat af te laten koelen. Deelname aan het Summer School-programma aan de VU gaf me een geweldige ervaring met leren in een mooie stad en op een prachtige campus met uitstekende faciliteiten, zoals uitstekende toegang, uitstekend gebouw, vooral een erg mooie kantine en tuin. Ze gaven ons een georganiseerd, gemakkelijk programma maar met veel ervaring, beginnend met leren van het echte werk, spannende sociale programma's en leuke sociale evenementen onder de deelnemers aan het Summer School-programma! Ik zou dit programma aan zoveel mogelijk mensen aanbevelen, bedankt VU!
Today is the last day of the summer school and it has been more than amazing! Very well organised by the nicest people. The lectures were interesting and informative. The social programs were great. Overall, no regrets, I loved every bit of my time at VU Amsterdam Summer School and would definitely recommend it! The Summer School 2022 was an unforgettable experience, which I can recommend to everyone! The team did a great job with the organization, you get to know lovely people from all over the world, have many interesting courses to choose from and can also discover the beautiful city of Amsterdam - even when you‘re not a student anymore! It's the best way to spend your summers. The course is quite intensive, but they see to it that we get enough time to explore the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Also, the excursions amazing. You get to meet new people from all over the world , and that's a great experience. Vertaald door Google Het is de beste manier om je zomers door te brengen. De cursus is vrij intensief, maar ze zorgen ervoor dat we genoeg tijd krijgen om de prachtige stad Amsterdam te verkennen. Ook de excursies geweldig. Je ontmoet nieuwe mensen van over de hele wereld en dat is een geweldige ervaring.
I was able to learn Social network analysis and R programming in the Big Data and Society class in a two-week period. It was a great learning experience. Vertaald door Google Ik heb in een periode van twee weken sociale netwerkanalyse en R-programmering kunnen leren in de klas Big Data en Maatschappij. Het was een geweldige leerervaring.
Really enjoyed the training at the VU Summer School. Nice opportunity to learn something while meeting new people. Also the organisation was really good and lots of nice social events were planned. I had an amazing experience! The class in Single Cell Technologies was very informative, and they had good demos. I met really awesome people and enjoyed some of the social events! The VU Summer School Team also provides tons of excellent information of where to go to explore the city from nightlife to the best places to go swimming. Het VU Summer School Team biedt ook heel veel uitstekende informatie over waar je heen kunt om de stad te verkennen, van het nachtleven tot de beste plekken om te zwemmen. Amsterdam is een geweldige stad en die moet je zeker eens gaan bekijken!
