Founded in 1636, Utrecht University is one of the largest research universities of Europe. We invest in passionate and internationally-oriented top students & top researchers, who we train as leaders of the future.
We offer a broad range of high-quality Dutch- and English-taught programmes and courses. Research always plays a fundamental role in our degree programmes. Students are taught in small groups by top researchers and lecturers, mostly experts in their field.
We have identified four research priority areas: sustainability, life sciences, institutions, and youth and identity.
