Utrecht Journal of International and European Law is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, student-led law journal, focusing on international and European law.
Utrecht Journal of International and European Law is the student-led, peer-reviewed biannual law journal of Urios, Study Association for International and European Law. It is also affiliated with the law faculty of Utrecht University.
Utrecht Journal was founded in 1981. In 2013, it changed its name by dropping 'Merkourios' from its title.
Utrecht Journal publishes twice a year. One issue deals with international and European law in general while the other is devoted to a specific theme chosen by the Board of Editors. The journal is led by students and applies double blind peer review.
In the years since 1981, Utrecht Journal has expanded its readership and is now distributed all over the world through our website www.utrechtjournal.org and online databases such as HeinOnline and the Directory of Open Access Journals.
The current Board of Editors: Karolina Aksamitowska (Editor-in-Chief), Noémie Gagnon-Bergeron (Solicitations Editor), Riccardo Vecellio Segate, Joske Graat, Elif Durmuş, Soumyaa Verma, Emma Várnagy and Klea Vyshka (Executive Editors).
