Tournament Trips is an initiative of Training Trips, a football travel company based in The Netherlands.

Training Trips organizes football training trips (pre season, winter break) for football teams of all levels. From professional teams to recreational youth teams. From academy teams to amateur teams. Training Trips offers a wide range of different destinations (more than 100) in countries such as Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, UK, Italy, France and many other countries.

Training Trips is set up in 2007 by Jeroen en Jan Gösgens. We organized our first trip in January 2008. Already in August 2008 Training Trips merged with First Dutch Football School of Ad and Leonardo Mouwen. We have organized trips for teams from more than 25 different countries. We have also assisted many professional academy teams to participate in top elite tournaments. Teams such as Manchester City, Ajax, Tottenham Hotspurs, Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Porto, Olympique Marseille, FC Liverpool, PSV, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, Zenit St. Petersburg, FC Copenhagen, Supersport United, RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge, AZ Alkmaar and many more.

Why Tournamenttrips.com?

For Coaches

We started to think about creating such a platform dedicated to soccer/football tournaments as a result of the many team enquiries (within Training Trips) we received to participate in mainly recreational tournaments abroad. Another reason were the people working for Training Trips. The majority of the people working for Training Trips are professional academy coaches.

For instance Jan Gösgens. Full time academy coach (U18) of Feyenoord Rotterdam. Feyenoord has been awarded best Dutch Football Academy in 2009/2010 and 2010/2011. In May and August many Feyenoord academy teams participate in top elite tournaments mainly in Europe. The Feyenoord academy administration has a huge list of tournaments but the list will never be complete. Coaches need a tool (a database) to search for tournaments they would like to attend. Tournamenttrips.com will fulfill that need.

Also Leonardo Mouwen, skills development coach of the academy of Manchester City, noticed a lack of organization within the Man City academy as far as elite tournaments are concerned. The academy administration lacked a decent list of tournaments.

For Tournament Organizers

Our goal is to establish a platform for soccer/football tournaments of all levels and ages. Tournaments Organizations can, totally free of charge, create a tournament profile and add/remove data whenever they want, no matter where they are. It will give tournament organizations the opportunity to expose their tournament worldwide. Our visitors are coaches, players, staff, parents, supporters and all other people interested in tournaments.
