Through the use of Creative Intellectual Engineering, The Collective Unconscious (TCU) is redesigning education systems at the university level.
Creative Intellectual Engineering is the core concept of what we do. When trying to make change or solve a problem, it’s important to target the roots instead of the stem. To transform the undermost element of a system rather than the effect(s) the system has. It’s like asking - who designs the thing that designs the thing? Or more relevantly - what engineers the people that engineer society? Generally, this points to the psychology of the individuals that make up the system. If we can create an ecosystem in which individuals are treated in a way that is optimal for humans, not as employees or students or numbers, then effective and positive change in that system will shortly follow.
“Beginning with the individual, it must be recognized that the reproduction of social realities is always accomplished through their transformation, specifically through the creative and autonomous actions of agents who are held responsible for what they say and do. Reductive human capital theory envisions a future that is simply a continuation of the present, whereas an integral meta-theory of education envisions a radically open future, dependent upon the creative actions of future generations. This leads to a focus on the conditions that foster the development of autonomous, reflective, and ethical individuals. This means building the educational system around the realities of human psychology and social relations, as opposed to building it around the needs of the economy.”
