UWC Maastricht is proud to host the next TEDxYouth right here in Maastricht! This initiative is directly aimed at young people in particular. It is at this stage where one can be most inspired and influenced by people who have been able to materialize a concept.

We believe that every young person has a goal or an ambition they wish to fulfill, and some of these could possibly be solutions to the biggest challenges the world faces. This opportunity exposes them to an environment that provides that fertile soil to either realize these goals or spark the inception of an idea strong enough to make a difference. Encouraging and nurturing these ideas is what builds confidence in the youth’s minds, to empower them, and show them means to achieve these great ideas!

To show such an audience the stories the guest speakers have to share may leave a mark on them, strong enough for these young adults to venture out and fuel their own creativity and imagination. Technology is such a powerful aspect, such a capable instrument of change and to open that world for young people by inviting dynamic guest speakers who’ve used it to do something for the community can inspire them and bring forth a new perspective. And not just one new perspective, but various and diverse perspectives. Not only will there be talks, but workshops too regarding the latest developments in technology and their impact, to show the magnitude of ripples it can create a means to carry out an initiative.
