'Oosterschelde' is the last authentic three-masted schooner. Join this beautiful ship for an active sailing holiday or hire the ship for your event!
The three-masted topsail schooner ‘Oosterschelde’, built in 1918, is the largest restored Dutch sailing ship, and is a monument for Dutch shipbuilding and maritime navigation under sail.
‘Oosterschelde’ made several impressive journeys since her restoration in 1992. For example, she sailed around the world twice (1996-1998 and 2012-2014), made several expeditions to Svalbard/Spitsbergen and Antarctica and usually sails to Cape Verde in the winter. But the ship is also in use in domestic and foreign ports for presentation and business events.
Sailing on board ‘Oosterschelde’ is a special experience. You’re not just a passenger, but you are part of the guest crew. We will learn you all about sailing, steering and navigating the ship.
