Stichting Kumbatio was founded by Yvette Boltze in The Netherlands. It is a small non-profit organisation that focusses on improving the life of children in Thika, Kenya by offering them a home with the name Kiota and helping them processing their traumas together with their families.
'Kumbatio' means 'embrace' in Swahili - the local language in Kenya.
'Kiota' means 'nest' in Swahili and symbolizes growth, warmth, care and preparing for the future.
