Sickhouse is The Interdisciplinary Creative Lab open to develop and support experimental, interactive, fun researches around the theme of our festival, The Overkill! In 2018 we'll take a look at IMMORTALITY !



"Sickhouse is a research space using popular culture as a base of reflection, with a Cinema, an exhibition space, a room for VR experience, a workshop area and our retro living room office. Gaming and films are the tools we manipulate to question the development of our society and its digitization. Sickhouse presents and co-produces crossover projects combining art, gaming, pop culture, science, music and philosophy.At Sickhouse, we believe that playing is a social tool and a means to understand each other, develop empathy and transform the way we shape our society. Sickhouse wants to create time and space for playfulness in art and in our society."

Vertaald door Google Afgelopen zaterdag was ik aanwezig bij het Overkill Festival in Sickhouse. Ik ging alleen omdat ik niemand kon vinden om mee te doen en eerlijk gezegd voelde ik me thuis vanaf het moment dat ik de trap opliep! Deze geweldige hotspot vol creativiteit en vriendelijke mensen deed mijn hoofd tollen! Geweldige sfeer ook! Deze plek is speels, kleurrijk en zeer uitnodigend. Deze plek zeker aanraden. Bekijk ook hun website voor hun workshops en bioscoop! Nee, ik werk hier niet, ik ben gewoon een liefhebber! Origineel Last Saturday I attended the Overkill Festival held at Sickhouse. I went alone because I couldn't find anyone to join me and honestly the minute I walked up the stairs I felt at home!! This awesome hot-spot filled with creativity and friendly people got my head spinning! Great ambiance too! This place is playful, colorful and very inviting. Definitely recommend this place. Check out their website for their workshops and cinema too! No, I don't work here, I'm just an enthusiast!

De werkruimte zelf is een grote open ruimte met veel zitplaatsen en basisvoorzieningen zoals koffie en internet. Er is momenteel een kleine toegangsprijs van 2 euro, maar daarmee steun je een non-profit kunstenaarsorganisatie. Verwacht jonge mensen en een relaxte sfeer. Origineel Nice workspace above the Space Bar that provides everything you need to work outside of your home. The workspace itself is a wide open area that provides plenty of seats and basic services like coffee and Internet. There's currently a small admission fee of 2 euros but with that you will support a non-profit artists organisation. Expect young people and a laid back atmosphere.
