Pauline & Wim Opmeer (Opmeer Reports) produce photo and video reports about social entrepreneurs and sustainable development all over the world.
We are Pauline and Wim Opmeer. We have been working together as Opmeer Reports since 2010. We specialize in photography and videography about sustainable development, micro-finance and social entrepreneurs, by visualizing the stories of farmers, entrepreneurs and community projects in developing countries.
In the past five years we have visualized over 175 sustainable development projects and around 900 personal stories in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. Our grey VW camper van has faithfully carried us across Africa and Latin America and has provided a humble but effective base for interaction with people and communities.
We have produced photo reports, videos, written articles, our own digital magazine and multimedia presentations. Our goal and that of our clients is to present the effects of sustainable development to as many people as possible. Seeing that even our longest (7 minutes) video has been watched more than 2,600 times we gather we achieved that purpose.
We work for organizations like Oikocredit International, Rabobank Foundation, PUM, FMO, IDH Sustainable Trade, Care, Impulsis and Triodos. In addition we write our own digital magazine Eyes Wide Open and the blog Catch Of The Day.
Right now we are working in Africa. We have visited Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, Kenya and Uganda. In december we will continue in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Africa.
