MUSIC / BOOKS / ART / NIGHTLIFE
It was truly the year of the big bang, because by the end of the summer of 1988 in Amsterdam, nothing was ever the same again once House music got a foothold in our city. But in fact that year was merely the first flurry of snow preceding an avalanche that still rumbles on today. 2013 obviously was a year of celebration, marking 25 years of dance music in the Netherlands. To mark those momentous years we launched our book Mary Go Wild featuring work from the best Dutch journalists and photographers, who have joined together to produce 576 pages tracking the history of Dutch dance and its global influence.
Our very first book Mary Go Wild covers the history of 25 years of dance music in the Netherlands. From the deepest, darkest beats of the underground, to spectacular mega-raves in football stadiums. Over 60 authors, photo editors and photographers have committed years of research to produce an absolute standard for fans of electronic music and its events. An impressive reference book, as well as a book full of great stories, this is a must-have for anyone who has ever nestled up to a speaker with their eyes shut.
So many content, ideas, contacts, and goodwill has grown from our award-winning book release that we decided to open a store and launch a book publishing agency. We will continue to curate, serve, collect, and capture as many moving stories from our beloved nightlife as possible.
