Jacques Rautenbach (40) started working in the music industry professionally when he was 16
years old. He started as a part time music educator at High-school Waterkloof and developed the drum & percussion programme but also developed many key concepts in music tuition that’s still in use...
Some say this was the start of a very special musical journey, but Jacques’s journey started at the age of 14 when he started playing drums in a local church... but very soon this small town musician was sharing stages with legendary performers such as Coenie de Villiers, Anna Davel, Nataniel, etc playing drums and percussion..
Like most musicians he lectured at various institutions; like the Groove Regulators Drumming School. He also had the opportunity to Head the Music Department at a Private School in Pretoria, where he was in charge of writing the Music Curriculum for all learners (Grade 0-7), within the newly found OBE principles. Doing research on early childhood development through music as well as a study of world music and incorporating basic musical elements into different religions ...

Jacques has made lots of memories, like his impressive recording career for artists, such as Bok van Blerk, Lianie May, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Eden, Kurt Darren, Juanita du Plessis, Robbie Wessels, to name a few. Another was the privilege to play drums on tracksperformed by the South African trumpet legend Hugh Masekela and the the American legendary saxophonist Dave Koz.
Approximately three years ago Jacques embarked on a completely new adventure....
