Interko is the global leader for the design, manufacture and installation of ripening room systems for fresh fruit, as well as custom cooling and heat exchangers. Founded 50 years ago, we develop cost-effective, high quality and low-maintenance systems that are built to last. Our engineers manufacture a variety of state-of-the-art designs that can be used for the most common applications.

Since we began in 1968 we have installed worldwide over 6,000 ripening rooms for bananas, avocados, mangoes and papayas – the earliest of which are still in operation and performing well today. Importantly, Interko works with a network of trusted partners around the world who are specially selected for their in-depth knowledge and expertise in every market. Today, we install around 200 ripening rooms per year.
