The Harp Friends Meeting (HFM) is a meeting for harpists. We organize workshops and concerts for harpists of all levels. Our aim is to promote the harp and make some new friends along the way.

Geschiedenis

The Harp Friends Meeting is an idea of Jeanette van Nieulande and Anouk Platenkamp. They visited both the Edinburgh International Harp Festival and the Nordic Harp Meeting together, and somewhere on their trips a little thought caught hold: "what if we could create such an event in the Netherlands?".
After dreaming about it and discussing the ideas for a meeting, it became clear that they wanted this dream to become a reality, and the first plans for the Harp Friends Meeting were made.

Both Jeanette and Anouk promote the playing of the celtic harp and like the sharing and meeting of other harpist that goes on at harp-festivals around the globe. They hope to create a save and fun place for all harpists to learn from and share with each other.

"Wij verkopen alles wat u nodig heeft als u harp speelt, zoals bladmuziek, snaren, stoelen en banken, muziekstandaards, stemapparaten, transporthoezen en alles wat u nog maar meer kan bedenken. U kunt bij ons uitgebreid harpen vergelijken in vorm, materiaal, grootte, klank en prijs. Neem hiervoor uw tijd, wij zorgen voor de koffie en thee.Wij hebben altijd ongeveer 50 harpen op voorraad staan van de volgende merken: Salvi, Lyon & Healy, Dusty Strings, Weissgerber, Killarney en Hummingbird."
