Green Office Utrecht is the central hub where fresh minds and hands come together to support Utrecht University’s sustainable development.

Geschiedenis

Green Office Utrecht (GOU) is the platform for students and employees of the UU where sustainable ideas come together, plans are sharpened and get a foothold at the UU with the objective to make the university more sustainable. Also we enhance the awareness of students and staff about the sustainable ambitions of the UU.

Many activities already take place at the UU on the topic of sustainability. However, there is always more than can be done. In order to let students and staff participate in this process, the UU founded the Green Office, with the help of SOON. SOON has worked on the development of this Green Office since February 2013. Together with a group of enthusiastic students and employees, they developed a plan and in September 2013, Green Office Utrecht was born!

The Green Office focuses on the following tasks:

The Green Office is a platform for students and staff on the topic of sustainability. We provide an overview of all the ongoing activities and an overview of all the people within the university who are involved on the topic of sustainability.
The Green Office provides support to transform ideas of students and staff into running projects. The support provided can be finances, advice, or the Green Office network.
The Green Office wants to close the gap between students, staff and the university itself. Creating a more sustainable world will not happen by itself; we have to do it together!
