Geschiedenis

Galerie Oranje is a new contemporary art gallery in Rotterdam, cofounded by Bea Fresno and Frederik Jan van den Berg.

We are both artists who have joined together our lives and resources in this initiative. We found the inspiration for the gallery in the bright spaces of the first house that we can truly call a home. Here, we live in an ever-changing space where moments and periods of time (past, present and future) are marked by the works of art we choose as worthy life companions.
The sole criterion for the selection of artists and artworks is whether we see the work as an enrichment to our life in our home. The emphasis in our choice shifts freely between the aesthetic, conceptual, material or technical to the philosophical. We hope that this space also inspires visitors to pursue a life with genuine beauty as its principal goal.
