A short description

To consumers all around the world, fresh-cut flowers symbolize some of life’s great qualities: love, joy, happiness and vitality. Flower supply chains face the task of living up to those values, by ensuring the quality, vitality and vase life of the products they deliver. This is a considerable challenge, as horticulture has evolved into a global industry involving long-distance transportation and complex logistics. The FlowerWatch® Quality Standard for Global Flower Supply Chains provides the perfect tool for that quality assurance. Based on the concept of ‘degree hours’, we have developed a quality standard that can be applied up and down flower supply chains all over the world and that establishes an achievable, measurable & manageable norm for flower quality and vase life.
