On 6 and 7 September 2019, a sea of global culture will sweep through The Hague during the Embassy Festival, on The Lange Voorhout.
The Embassy Festival is an international event spotlighting the many different cultures that reside in The Hague. Festival goers can soak up a truly innovative and transnational one-day programme presenting music, activities, art, theatre, culinary delights, debates and readings on The Hague’s Lange Voorhout. Organized in close cooperation with the Municipality of The Hague’s Department of International Affairs and The Hague’s many embassies, the Embassy Festival promises to surprise and appeal to all senses.
The musical programme will offer a mix of different music styles such as jazz, pop, soul, folk and classical music. We create a divers programme with performances from all over the world, emphasizing on contemporary music.
In the Creative Arena almost anything goes, from authors reading from their unique travelling stories to traditional dancing and even to ancient literature brought to life. The Creative Arena offers a suitable stage for a wide variety of (semi-) professional group or solo- performances.
On the international market we create a world trip where the most unique aspects of various parts of the world will be represented through characteristic features, activities and products.
Embassies will be present on the Lange Voorhout to demonstrate unique aspects of their country, while various countries and regions will present themselves on the festival terrain through characteristic features and products unique to that country.
