Galerie NUMMER40 specializes in contemporary artwork from emerging and established artists mainly from Europe, North America and Australia. The selected artists predominantly create unique free standing and wall hanging objects and sculptures often made of materials such as steel, stone, wood, paper, ceramics, acrylic, glass or a combination thereof. Most presented art objects are abstract, non-figurative in their style, although figurative work is also part of its portfolio.

The gallery annually shows selections from their collection at art fairs in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Berlin, Hamburg and Stockholm. Since 2009 the gallery is based in a 1963 modern architecture house located in a forest on the outskirts of Doetinchem – a city in the east part of The Netherlands – halfway between Amsterdam and Dusseldorf, Germany."Gallery40NL specializes in contemporary artwork from emerging and established artists mainly from The Netherlands, Europe and North America.
