Geschiedenis
The Netherlands India (NIA) dates back to 1951. During the past half century its history, character and composition have changed considerably. The association was created by a group of Dutch inidividuals, mostly academics, interested in the rich and diverse historical, cultural, social, religious, philosophical and spiritual aspects of India. 
"The Netherlands India Association NIA was founded to provide you with entertaining and informative insights into these two fascinating countries and its peoples.The NIA’s objectives are:Promoting knowledge and understanding of culture, history, philosophy, religion and social structure of India and The Netherlands between the people of both countries.Promoting friendly relations between Indians and Dutch through widening and deepening personal, cultural, and social contact.NIA is a networking organization where Dutch and Indians can come to know each other and can share each others knowledge and make friends."
