Geschiedenis Birth Doula Services A Birth Doula is someone who provides non-medical support to a pregnant woman and her partner, during the pregnancy, birth and post-partum period. This support can take many forms, from simply being present, to active listening, massage, acupressure, providing information and assisting in creating a birth plan. Some of the most important things a Doula does are very simple; making cups of tea, creating a warm atmosphere, for example with use of lighting and essential oils, and holding your hand when you most need comfort and reassurance.
