Geschiedenis
We are Moyee Coffee. We think it's unfair that 99,9% of all Ethiopian coffee leaves the country as green beans. While the retail price for roasted beans is 6 to 7 times higher. Therefore we are preparing a coffee revolution, to make it possible to invest in coffee roasting equipment in Ethiopia based on what we call the Fair Chain Principles.

Fairchain means a fairer distribution of wealth between coffee consuming and coffee producing countries.

First, Fair Chain aims to give coffee growing countries access to the same technologies as western companies and thereby the possibility to create higher added value themselves. 
Second, Fair Chain wants to provide direct links between farmers and roasters and consumers or the right distribution channels, giving coffee countries more control throughout the value chain and thus higher margins.

Moyee Coffee has created a joint venture with an Ethiopian entrepreneur supported by the local government, university of Jimma and the Coffee Export Association of Ethiopia."At Moyee we try to do things differently. We have radically changed the way coffee is sourced, roasted and sold. We don't spend tons on marketing, we don't work for our shareholders benefit and we don't work for profit. So, what do we do?We produce radically great coffee, we pay our farmers more than others, we have a living income roadmap. In short, we work towards a fairer, more transparant world for all. Not just for ourselves."
