We are a dynamic and impact driven company from Rotterdam. With our energy generating floors we raise awareness on renewable energy in an interactive way.

Geschiedenis
We believe that consciousness about energy is very important to create a sustainable world. Our goal is to raise awareness on energy production and energy consumption by making it interactive and fun and relating it to human scale. By implementing human powered interactive floor as well as inspiring applications at events and locations worldwide, we create unique experiences for our client’s audiences. That way the public is engaged in sustainability and susceptive for the client’s message about energy. In 2009 we successfully launched the world’s first energy generating floor, the Sustainable Dance Floor, which has been used at about 350 events and projects over the past five years.

Next to generating 8 billion joules up to today, the SDF realized fun and awareness regarding energy. The latest development is a pedestrian floor which is the most efficient converter of human footfall into electricity: The Sustainable Energy Floor (SEF).  Patents are granted in Europe and the U.S.A.

Energy Floors  has a  growing  list  of  respected clients in more than 20 countries, such as Nokia, Google, Toyota, Volkswagen, Coca Cola, Heineken, Smirnoff, Philips, E-on, Disney, WWF, Puma and Shell. Energy Floors sells and rents Energy Floors, including Applications and custom made Energy Experiences.

We believe that consciousness about energy and the impact humans have on it, are the main conditions for the creation of a sustainable world.

Energy Floors (voorheen Sustainable Dance Club) is een Rotterdams bedrijf verantwoordelijk voor de introductie van de eerste energie opwekkende dansvloer ter wereld, de Sustainable Dance Floor. Het portfolio bevat intussen high end, artistieke interactieve producten en meer functionele interactieve producten (Sustainable Energy Floors).

Energy Floors combineert creativiteit met technologie om nieuwe licht-, geluid- en data-applicaties te creëren, die gevoed worden door dansende en bewegende mensen. De interactieve installaties die hierdoor ontstaan vormen een duurzame omgeving waarin bezoekers thema’s als energie en klimaat op een unieke manier beleven.

Energy Floors ontwikkelt een productportfolio om verschillende markten te bedienen; installaties zijn wereldwijd te vinden op events, beurzen, openbare locaties met veel voetgangers, maar ook binnen educatieve instellingen. Energy Floors heeft een groeiende lijst van gerespecteerde klanten waaronder multinationals zoals Google, Coca Cola,  Philips en Disney, Openbaar Vervoerbedrijven, gemeentes en goede doelen zoals  WWF."Our story starts in 2008 when we opened world’s first Sustainable Dance Club in our hometown of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It was a unique concept that allowed party goers to generate energy while dancing on our kinetic floor.Since then, we’ve continued developing our Energy Floors to inspire, involve and educate everyone about the energy transition."
