DOXY focus on films that combine relevant subjects with an original visual style.

Geschiedenis

DOXY lays the emphasis on producing films of all manifestations – from an homeless opera, a film column, music films and international co-productions to the more ‘traditional’ documentary. On top of this, DOXY is working on the movie Sisyphus Over Amsterdam (Ramón Gieling) and we’ll be broadening our playing field with sports-related films; after releasing several sports documentaries on (top) athletes such as Becoming Zlatan (Magnus Gertten & Fredrik Gertten) new plans are in the making.

Team DOXY has been active in film production for years, making dozens of films, winning national and international awards, taking part in competitions on A-festivals and scoring (cinema) hits. Recent titles include: Erbarme Dich – Mattheus Passion Stories (Ramón Gieling) and Alice Cares (Sander Burger). And DOXY currently has the following films (among others) in (post)production: Detained (Marc Schmidt), The Disciples – A Homeless opera (Ramón Gieling), the international co-production In the arms of Morpheus (Marc Schmidt) and The Mystery of the Milking Robots (Vuk Janić).
