The Tweede Kamer or second living room, first opened it’s doors in 1985. It swiftly became one of Amsterdam’s household names within the smoking community! Being among the oldest shops in the city, there is not one Amsterdam smoker that hasn’t heard of, or visited this picturesque shop! Tweede Kamer is still run by it’s original owner and has incredibly knowledgeable staff. Some of whom have them have worked there for almost a quarter of a century! Famous for their top quality imported and local Hashish and giant choice of highest grade Marihuana strains.
The Tweede Kamer is already for over 30 years one of Amsterdam’s best kept secrets.
If you like to be where the locals are at, then this is the place to be! Just off of Spui Square, opposite to the side entrance of Cafe Hoppe (one of the oldest cafe’s in the city since 1651!) It is a tiny shop that seats only 20 people making it almost impossible not to engage with the locals. The dealers are all trained Barrister’s and serve a mean cup of genuine Lot 61 Coffee. Enjoy together with a lovely piece of their “special” cake or muffins !
This is probably the most mature coffeeshop in Amsterdam! For musical choice , product knowledge, clientele, hospitality and the lovely refurbished interior in 20’s apothecary style.
