DD Connect is an international development consultancy. It helps faith-based organisations, religious institutions, and other NGOs in sub-Saharan Africa to acquire professional skills through seminars, workshops, short training sessions and long-term on-demand support. In addition, we can evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of the current development initiatives and of the current Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) techniques, through dialogue with the partners on equal terms, in order to promote and strengthen those techniques.
We have many years of experience of working in and with faith-based organisations in Sub-Saharan Africa and in Belgium and in the Netherlands. The combination of our professional knowledge on developments issues and understanding of how faith-based organisations work make us a suitable partner. The framework of our support is a ‘cultures sensitive approach’ and ‘participation’. We go and visit the organisation, participate in their projects, and discuss together the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of successes and failures. Through our expertise in PME methods with special focus on learning, we train partners in new PME techniques recommended by donors, and which are suited to their types of projects.
