About the Art Psychotherapist:
I am a qualified professional Art Therapist practicing in The Netherlands. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Art Therapy from New York University. I was trained in psychotherapy and incorporate it into a Holistic approach with my clients.
While I can treat anyone, I specialize in working with children who have special needs (i.e. ADD/ADHD & Autism Spectrum Disorders) and children who have experienced trauma (i.e. psychiatric disorders, anxiety & depression).
My professional experience includes working in both the private and public sectors of mental health and in various countries, including: The US (New York & New Mexico), France (Paris and Montrouge), The Philippines, Sierra Leone, and now The Netherlands. I am a private practitioner as well as a Psychosocial Support Specialist (provide psychological first aid support post-humanitarian crisis).
I believe children are naturally creative, especially when it comes to making art. The process of art making is healing and can help them to resolve various social, emotional, and behavioral issues in a non-intrusive and explorative way. My approach is safe, confidential & culturally sensitive.
I provide individual, sibling and group art psychotherapy sessions in The Hague and surrounding areas.
Sessions can be in English or French.
