Together we open the largest open-air café in the world. Here you’ll meet all your neighbours, right on your doorstep. From students, young families and chatty granny’s to playful kids. Join the open-air café in the weekend of July 1st & 2nd or choose your own date.

The open-air café consists of opened benches on the pavement in front of houses, in the park or on a city square. Open your bench via the website and invite your neighbours, friends and family. As a BenchesHost you decide your opening times and what you want to serve: a nice cup of coffee, home baked cake, a marble competition or dancing lesson. Anything is possible! Visitors bring some snacks or give a donation.

Since 2014 over 1.000 benches opened in 17 countries. Together we form an international movement that aims to create more friendly, social and spontaneous public space. Register and open a bench and join in!
