Geschiedenis

The collection ‘Modern Times’ is all about playing with time. It forms a tribute to long days past where anything was possible. I believe in pure, honest materials and I want to let traditional handicraft prevail. My designs look machine-like, are functional and do what they promise. My vision on form is nurtured by details that find their origin in the Industrial Revolution: stacked geometrical shapes and cold junctions. I have immersed myself in this in order to attain a powerful visual style which forms the studio’s most important signature. I knead, feel and smell my designs. Every step in the process contributes to the growth of it. My no-nonsense, quirky view on design makes me a modern-day craftsman. Through this all, my work obtains its own soul and identity.
