APM Terminals offers the global shipping community a geographically balanced, integrated Global Terminal Network which includes current operations at 66 ports and terminal facilities in 40 countries with seven new terminal development projects and 16 expansion programs now underway, along with 166 Inland Services operations in 47 countries. Staffed by 20,000 professionals across a total of 68 countries spanning five continents, we serve every major trade lane with a truly global presence, providing our customers with the most advanced terminal technology, equipment and operations in the industry.

Rotterdam is the gateway to Europe. APM Terminals Rotterdam started its activities in October 2000 as Maersk Delta and in 2002 was renamed APM Terminals Rotterdam.

The operation includes 13 Post Panamax Cranes, 1 Barge Crane, is straddle carrier-operated and has 2,250 reefer connections on 100 hectares of land and 1,600 metres of quay wall with an annual capacity of 3.25 million TEU's.

The terminal is geared up for the hub and spoke concept, feeding the British, Irish, Scandinavian and Baltic Markets. Straight from the terminal rapid through transport is realised by barge, rail and truck. A smooth way of reaching 320 million consumers in Continental Europe.

More than 750 dedicated team-members conduct a 24-hour shift operation and are ready to handle the future.
