The AMEK is the Dutch leading authority on historical fencing and fighting arts.

Geschiedenis

The AMEK was founded in 2002 by Mishaël A. Lopes Cardozo. He is a member of the HEMAC (Historical European Martial Arts Coalition) an international coalition of experts, practitioners and researchers dedicated to the resurrection and reconstruction of ancient fighting styles as well as one of the founding members of the HEFFAC (the Historical European Fighting & Fencing Arts Coalition), an organisation of schools in the Lowlands created to stimulate, educate and promote our European martial heritage.
